The Lord Hath Provided

The Lord Hath Provided
From the very beginning of creation God has been revealing Himself to man. He walked with Adam in the cool of the day in the garden of paradise.
When Adam sinned God did not just write him off, nor did He make Himself hard to find. He was right there in the same place as before, calling out to the man He loved.
At Adam's weakest, most frightened time God made a promise that he would, through woman make a seed that would crush the serpent's head and put things back in order so He could walk with man again in the fellowship of love. (Gen. 3:15).
God then began to raise up prophets to speak His promise to all people so all people would have the same hope. They spoke of the coming Just One, the Messiah, the Branch, the root of Jesse, the seed of David who would rebuild the tabernacle of David and restore mankind to God,
They also spoke of end times when all things would come to an end as we know them and there would be a new glorious kingdom on earth.
Later the Apostle Paul and others began to say that it all was a mystery kept under cover until it was revealed into the prophets and apostles that were in Christ's time and after.
Jesus came Praise God just like God said He would. Conceived by a virgin, lived a sinless life, revealed the Father to mankind, went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, nailed to the cross, suffered, bled and died. And all this was for our sins, transgressions, and sicknesses. All fulfilled God's promise! And the greatest of all took place three days later when Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of God!
Jesus received revelation of the end times and gave it to John to give us.
But much of the revelation was sealed up and had to be opened. But no one was found to be worthy until the Lion of the tribe of Judah was revealed. He is worthy! We can read the account in Revelation chapter five.
The Lion did not appear in heaven as a lion, but rather a lamb that had been slain. In His sacrifice Jesus, the Lamb, became a lion with all power! E showed this by taking the book from the hand of God and opening the seals. He shows us His power in three worlds; in heaven, on earth and under the earth. These are the words that Jesus spoke just before He went back to heaven. "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." (Matt. 28:18-20).
We today have the benefits of His sacrifice, resurrection and ascension. We have redemption by His blood. We have forgiveness of sins. We have been given God's Holy Spirit. We have God's Holy Word. We have the power of His name. We have His promises, the greatest if these being that He is coming again!
Until that promise is fulfilled we have a commission. Go and preach the gospel to every creature. Baptize and teach, making disciples until He comes. He has promised to be with us and He surely us! Praise God!
So God spoke the promise. The prophets spoke the promise. The apostles spoke the promise. Jesus spoke the promise. Now it is our turn! The seals are rapidly being loosed!
            The Lion hath prevailed!
