Be Not Ashamed

The apostle Paul wrote most of the New Testament letters that are contained in the Bible. However, Paul was not always a powerful Christian.  Before he became born again and baptized in the Holy Ghost, he was a religious fanatic who went about persecuting and murdering Christians. After his conversion, he became more zealous for Christ than he was against him.
He writes to Timothy, his son in the faith, to not be ashamed of the testimony of Jesus Christ nor of others who have a true relationship with Christ. (Read II Tim. 1:6-14)  We who have been converted as Paul and Timothy have a gift from God. We have eternal life abiding in us. The testimonies of our conversion may vary, however the result is that we have been changed by God's grace and power!
You may have come to this new life by a miraculous work of God, or perhaps you knelt at an old-fashioned altar in a church. Your" altar" may have been in a place other that a church, as mine was and as the apostle Paul's on the road to Damascus.  Maybe somebody led you in a sinner's prayer, prayed over you or spoke some prophetic words and laid hands on you. The way we come is not the issue, it is that we have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and have received Him as Savior and Lord of our lives!
We have a gift from God and it is to be shared! We must guard and keep it by watching how we live and who we hang out with. Evil communications corrupt good manners. (I Cor. 15:33) We must also feed ourselves with spiritual food. Eternal food that is found in the Bible, church and in good Christian fellowship. Speaking life words instead of the death catch phrases of the world. These will help us stay in right spiritual progress. Sometimes, we have to stir up the gift that is in us. We can do this by praise, thanksgiving, and our testimony.  The devil does not want us to share our testimony. He tells us things like, they have all heard it before, you do not really have anything to say that people will want to hear etc.
Let me ask you, do you know whom you have believed? Do you really know Jesus Christ? Does He live in your heart? Lay aside how you came to know Him and just focus on knowing Him! Stir up His life in you! Proclaim that you know Jesus, He lives in you. I am alive in Jesus and He is alive in me. Someone needs to hear that from you. You have a testimony!
There are all sorts of people around that are in the same condition you were before you came to know Jesus.  They need to hear that you used to be where they are now but Jesus brought you out. Your testimony needs to be shared!
Now, here is the big question: are you ashamed of Jesus Christ? Are you fully persuaded or just partially? Is it just religion to you or are you sold out to Jesus?  Have you given your all to Jesus as He has given His all to you? Can you honestly say, I am committed to Jesus because He is committed to me?
Now, answer the questions. I know that your answer will be the right one. You called upon Jesus and you know in your heart that He is real and alive in you! Is there a question about it? Simply humble yourself, call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and He will hear you and you will be changed!
Now, stir up the gift ,do not be ashamed of Jesus nor His people. Start to say it; I am not ashamed of Jesus Christ! I have a testimony and I will give it! I am sold out!
